Michelle Royal founded the first Royal Makeup & Hair team in Savannah, GA in 2014.
Prior to that, she worked as a model and a makeup & hair artist in New York City. She was also the events & training coordinator for Sephora in Times Square, NYC for many years, where she was extensively trained on a variety of makeup and hair-care brands and application techniques, including airbrush and special effects. Michelle also worked as a makeup artist for NARS Cosmetics and was honored to do makeup for actress, Molly Ringwald.
Michelle has taught makeup application and hair styling lessons for John Casablanca’s Modeling Centers and for hundreds of clients independently as well as through Sephora and NARS. Michelle has done hair & makeup for Bravo’s TV shows, as well as over 600 weddings, numerous photo shoots, runway shows, proms and other events. Her makeup artistry was featured on the cover of The Vow magazine as well as hair and makeup artistry featured throughout the pages of several issues of Savannah Weddings Magazine, Savannah Soiree and several wedding blogs and online publications. She has all the tools and skills to bring out your best features for your special occasion, photo shoot, or wedding.
She currently organizes bookings for our Savannah, DC, Austin & Hudson Valley branches and serves Washington, DC and the surrounding areas as a Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist. She will be moving to our Hudson Valley, NY branch in the Summer of 2023.

Julie has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1997.  She began her career in Philadelphia and worked in several salons through the years in PA and NJ.  Additionally during that time she did hair backstage for several stage productions.  To keep things moving on a tight schedule, she learned methods for doing updos quickly and especially enjoys braided styles.
Julie joined the Savannah team shortly after moving to GA in 2015.  She works regularly in a salon in Richmond Hill and does hair for weddings and special events whenever she can.  Married for 25 years herself, she enjoys meeting brides along with their families and friends and hearing their stories.  It is a wonderful feeling to help people look and feel their best for their most special moments!

Lauren Grant is a Professional Hair & Makeup Artist and licensed Esthetician. Specializing in beauty, airbrush makeup and skincare with over 10 years experience in the industry. In 2007 she successfully completed her associates in Esthetics, and began to work in several high end spas in the Savannah area. She has since completed countless hours in additional training with Babor, GM Collins, and Youngblood Cosmetics. Her passion for knowledge in this ever-changing beauty industry ensures that she stays informed with the latest technologies and ingredients in skincare, which she loves to share with clients.

Sarah is a Florida native that relocated to Savannah with her family in 2016. She started in the beauty industry in 2006, working in Esthetics. She quickly found a passion for making people feel beautiful. Deciding to further her education, she attended the Aveda Institute in 2009 to gain her Master Cosmetologist license. While working at a Miami Beach resort, she became familiar with an international clientele. Her expertise is in various hair styling techniques and she loves working with destination brides. Sarah is very excited to bring her skills to Savannah and looking forward to always learning new ones.

Chrissy has been a licensed Esthetician since 2003. Her passion for the beauty industry started as a young child as her mother owned and operated makeup schools for 20 years. Chrissy shared her expertise as an instructor for several years and now specializes in event makeup, airbrush, and camouflage artistry. She has a work background as an artist for MAC, Bobbi Brown, Jane Iredale and more. Being a native to sunny Florida, she really knows how to work with our hot humid weather and can guarantee the most beautiful hair and makeup even on the hottest days. Chrissy travels several times a year all over the country to further her education and make sure she is always on top of her game.

Emily is a Makeup Artist from the heart of Kentucky who relocated to Savannah in 2017. She discovered her true passion of makeup artistry while studying Studio Art at the University of Louisville and has made her dream into a reality. Emily has worked as a professional makeup artist for multiple companies including MAC, Lancôme, and Smashbox. She is a well-rounded artist with experience in numerous weddings, TV productions, fashion shows, and editorial shoots while always staying up to date on the latest products and techniques. Her specialty in beauty makeup helps every woman feel confident by accentuating all their best features. Whether it’s a wedding, on set for a shoot, or a special event Emily is excited to be a part of it.

Crystal is a California native with a passion for makeup artistry. Despite being forbidden to wear makeup as a teen, Crystal rebelliously played in friends makeup every chance she got. After college, she began doing freelance work assisting other professional makeup artists, working bridal parties and other special events. In addition to freelancing, Crystal worked as a makeup artist in a salon setting, building her desire to work in the wedding industry. Crystal is always looking for opportunities to perfect her craft in makeup artistry and hair styling by taking classes and learning from other artists.

Melissa has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years and is a licensed esthetician in both Georgia and Colorado. She spent most of her early makeup career in California where she grew up. In between working on countless weddings there, she also had the opportunity to work under Melanie Mills for LA Fashion Week and work as a special effects makeup artist for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. After moving to Colorado she continued to do both bridal and horror makeup for various companies. Now we welcome her to the beautiful state of Georgia! Melissa moved here in March 2020 and is currently doing bridal makeup, special effects and a variety of other makeup projects.

Rebekah was born and raised in the Savannah, Georgia area. Her love for hairstyling began at a very young age, practicing on her sisters, mother, and self. She studied in Cosmetology and has lots of hands on training in the hair industry. As she grew older, she did wedding and event hair for several friends and family members and fell in love with the wedding industry. She has experience working in the salon as a hairstylist, and she continues her education by dedicating time to learn from other artists.  She is always excited and eager to learn new things about her craft. She loves experimenting with braided styles and updos. Her passion is to make others look and feel beautiful and special.

Kylee has been in the Savannah area since 2004. She grew up around the makeup and hair industry, as her mother is a master cosmetologist. She did color-guard and dance line throughout high school and college, which is where she found her passion and love for doing makeup, as she was always doing her and her friends show makeup. She completed makeup artistry courses in 2015, including airbrush courses through TEMPTU and has worked as a make up artist since! Kylee has perfected the flawless airbrush look. From weddings to proms to photography sessions, Kylee absolutely loves making everyone she works with feel special and gorgeous!

Kimberly has lived in the Savannah area since 2000. Her love for makeup and hair started early as a dancer and competitive cheerleader.  She began teaching dance in high school and found her talent in helping everyone get hair and makeup ready for the stage. After getting married and having two children she realized her passion and took hair styling and makeup artistry training courses to refine her craft. What Kimberly loves most is to really get to know each person and help them feel like the most beautiful version of themselves.

With over 12 years of experience, Jasmine now specializes in a wide range of hair and makeup for weddings and events. Her education follows suit to the ever evolving beauty industry, staying on top of trends and mastering technique. She has worked with celebrity stylists such as Priel Maman, Sarah Jane, and Paul Mitchell, which allowed her to refine her skill. Her signature style is clean and romantic with an editorial flair, though she is skilled in many different styles of hair/makeup.

Originally from Florida, Meagan is a dual licensed cosmetologist and barber. She has specialized in event styling since 2016. Over the years she has provided services for countless weddings, photo shoots, film and photography projects, and more. From 2017 until she moved to Savannah in 2021 she was the head of the hair and makeup department for an Emmy Award winning production studio, The Studio Creative a Group, regularly providing services for client headshots, commercials, film, international ad campaigns, and more.  Passionate about education, she studied in New York City in 2018 at the Temptu headquarters where she obtained a certification in airbrush makeup. Later in 2018 she attended a Master Class hosted by Sir John, Beyoncé’s makeup artist, where she grew her skills further. In 2020, right before the pandemic began, she attended a master class hosted by three of the worlds leading experts in Russian Updo styling. Now she is a painting major at Savannah College of Art and Design. While this may not seem directly relevant to the world of beauty, she has been amazed to see just how much art influences her work as a stylist. Whether that’s using her skill in color theory to perfectly match a skin tone, or approaching an updo as sculpture, the tie overs between the two go hand and hand. Most of all, Meagan is passionate about people. Regardless of the event, she is honored celebrate the milestones with you!

Following her lifelong passion for all things beauty, Claire left the 9-5 world of advertising in 2014 and enrolled in makeup school in New York City. Claire began doing makeup for photoshoots, events, weddings, red carpets, celebrities, and New York Fashion Week shows. She has also trained under some of the most influential makeup artists in the industry, providing her with top notch education and opportunities to work with notable brands such as Allure Magazine, Loreal, Old Navy, and Juicy Couture.

In 2020, Claire relocated to Bluffton, SC bringing her New York City training and glowy, soft glam, makeup esthetic with her. Claire’s philosophy that, ‘your makeup will look its best if your skin does too’ inspired her to add Licensed Esthetician to her repertoire.

Claire’s zip code may have changed, but her mission remains the same; to create a bespoke experience that makes her clients feel radiant and beautiful, leaving her makeup chair or massage table feeling like the best version of themselves.
